Construction onboarding software
Onboard new hiresyour company's way.
HR software handles the paperwork. Field Lessons gets new crew members trained on how your company works, before day one. Phone lessons in English and Spanish, QR sign-in with no email, and a record of who's learned what.

Most construction onboarding stops at the paperwork.
Forms get signed and direct deposit gets set up. Then the new hire shows up on site, and how they learn your company's way depends on who they ride with that week.
It depends who they ride with.
Each new hire learns a slightly different version of how you do things.
Your best lead gets pulled off the job.
He explains the same basics to every new hire, instead of running his crew.
Nobody knows what they've learned.
There's no record of what was covered, so gaps show up later, on the job.
What new hires learn
The things every new hire needs from your company.
Your crews already know the basics of the trade. Onboarding lessons teach how your company does it, built from your SOPs and your best people's know-how.

They show up already knowing what to expect. Their lead starts from there, not from zero.

Every new hire gets the same start
Hand them a QR badge. You see their progress from day one.
Works alongside your HR and payroll.
Keep your HR or payroll system for the paperwork.
Tax forms, direct deposit, and policies stay where they are. Field Lessons handles the part HR software doesn't: teaching new hires how your company actually does the work, and keeping a record of who's learned it.
FAQ
Onboarding questions.
How do you onboard construction workers?
Handle the paperwork in your HR or payroll system, then train them on how your company works: your start-of-day routine, safety rules, and two or three core tasks done your way. Teach it the same way to every new hire, check that they understood, and have their lead sign off in the field.
How long does digital construction onboarding take?
Most companies have their first onboarding lessons ready in about two weeks. For a new hire, each lesson takes about 20 to 30 minutes on a phone, and most companies spread a short set of lessons over the first 30 days.
Does this replace our HR or payroll software?
No. Keep your HR or payroll system for paperwork like tax forms and direct deposit. Field Lessons handles the training side: how your company does the work.
Can new hires start training before day one?
Yes. Send them their QR badge or company code and PIN, and they can take the first lessons on their own phone before they ever reach the jobsite.
Do new hires need a company email or an app?
No. They scan a QR badge with their phone camera, or enter a company code and 4-digit PIN. It opens in the phone's browser, with no app to download.
Can new hires take it in Spanish?
Yes. Every lesson is built in English and Spanish, so each new hire learns in the language they understand best.
